The Social Sciences Student Council (SOWI) represents all social sciences students, including all Master's students in political science and sociology. The Student Council Executive Committee acts as a link between students and the Department of Social Sciences and helps with questions and problems relating to studies.
To promote exchange between students of all semesters, we organise various events during the semester. For example, the guest lecture series ‘Was machsch de mau mit däm?’ (What are you doing with that?) highlights possible career prospects for SOWI students each semester. We also organise various social events, such as the ‘SOWI Beer’. In the autumn semester, tutorials are offered for first-semester students to help them get started.
