The bachelor's thesis can be written at any institute within the Department of Social Sciences, although the modalities vary depending on the institute:
IPW:

BA SOWI:
The dissertation is written as part of a Bachelor’s seminar (or proseminar), which is in addition to the compulsory modules. To complete the programme, a Bachelor’s dissertation is written in place of the (pro)seminar.
BA PolVer:
The Bachelor’s dissertation is written independently of any Bachelor’s or proseminar in the field of political science. It is therefore not linked to attendance at a (pro)seminar.
SOZ:
The thesis is written independently of a course in consultation with a lecturer.
